[SNXS new series]Seiko Sportsmatic 5: Timeless Elegance for the Modern Wrist

by KEDAI JAM SISTEM on May 17, 2024

The Seiko Sportsmatic 5, launched in 1963, was Japan’s first automatic day-date watch. With its robust, water-resistant case, practical features, and affordable price, it quickly became a favorite. Its popularity skyrocketed after the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, cementing its status as an iconic timepiece. In 2019, Seiko gave the Seiko 5 a modern overhaul, and now the SNXS series has been stunningly updated.

Introducing the new SRPK87, SRPK89, and SRPK91 models. These watches maintain a sleek 37.4mm case, 12.5mm height, and 44.7mm lug-to-lug distance. The streamlined case features a brushed middle section to reduce scratches and boasts improved water resistance up to 100m. The redesigned bracelet includes a stylish triple-folding clasp with a push-button release for added convenience.

Choose from ivory, black, or navy blue sunburst dials that beautifully change color with the light. A striking orange seconds hand adds a pop of color, while beige Lumibrite-treated indices and hands give a retro flair. The date window at 3 o'clock retains its classic look with a dark background, and the ‘Automatic’ label is elegantly displayed in cursive.

The most exciting upgrade is the movement, transitioning from the 7S26 to the 4R36. This new movement offers hacking and hand-winding functions, visible through a see-through caseback, enhancing both functionality and style.

Discover the perfect blend of heritage and innovation with the new Seiko Sportsmatic 5 SNXS series – timeless elegance for the modern wrist.
